Ladoga -- Herman J. "Bud" Sayler, 90, of Rt. 1, Ladoga, died at 6:04 a.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was a retired farmer and a WWI Army veteran. He was a member of the New Market Christian Church, Modern Woodmen of America and American Legion. He was a 1916 graduate of New Market HS. Mr. Sayler was born in Montgomery County on December 7, 1897 to James Charles and Winifred SPENCER Sayler. He was married in Montgomery County on May 21, 1921 to Muriel POPE. She died in 1979. He is survived by two sons, John Charles of Waveland; and David of Birmingham, MI; a brother, Cline Sayler of New Market; four grandchildren; and six greats. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday in Powers Funeral Home at New Market. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Visitation will be an hour prior to services.
